VIRGINIA'S VIEW #3

Isn't this just the most colorful and quirky inspiration photo that Virginia has picked for her third monthly challenge at Lily Pad Cards??  I was so drawn to the rows of colors.  Here is my card:

I used just one row of several colors.  The single starburst from Hero Arts looks great stamped in Brilliance inks.  Three little oval buttons I found in my stash were tied with twine from the Simon Says Stamp March card kit.  The sentiment is also Hero Arts.

SUMMER CARD CAMP WEEK 3

Here is the color combo graphic for this week of Summer Card Camp:

And here is my card, using Hero Arts stamps:

I like this color combo a lot better than the first two weeks.  Taupe, brown, chocolate, red and white - my layered strip is taupe, chocolate and red and I worked some brown in by stamping the flower on the taupe strip with brown ink.  It doesn't show up very good, but it is actually there :)  I have used Brilliance ink pads for all the stamping on this card. 

This flower is one of my favorite stamps - there is a negative and a positive and it is fun to use them together or separately, giving lots of different looks.

MARCH CCC

The card I made for Deborah Nolan's March CCC has finally arrived in The Netherlands, so I can post it now:

I used the sketch Deborah provided.  On lavender  cardstock I embossed the Hero Arts S5507 envelope pattern in purple, and on purple cardstock I embossed it in white.  On a small piece of cardstock I embossed the sentiment (Stampendous) in purple and added the Hero Arts K5486 Flower Swirl Vine to the background with Brilliance pearlescent lavender inkpad.  The large flower (Hero Arts CL482 Dots and Flowers) was purple embossed on white, cut out and added to the card with dimensional tape.  Pearls for the embellishment and rounded corners to finish the card.
