FORGET ME NOT

Here is a tag I made for the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is to make a tag or an ATC.

This elephant is one of Tim Holtz' for Stampers Anonymous(they have such fantastic stamps!)I used a couple more SA stamps, distress inks, tiny clips and tissue tape from Tim.  The sentiment is from Paper Inspirations.

Thanks for stopping by!

CFC 60

Good morning!

The theme for CAS-ual Friday's challenge this week is to use text.  The colors of my card were inspired by my friend, Lin, who posted this card on her blog.  It is so hot here (and probably where you live, too!) and these colors are very summer-y!

I used Ranger distress inks and the Hero Arts newspaper background stamp for the die cuts.  I also sprayed the butterfly with antique gold Perfect Pearls mist, which doesn't show too much in the photo, but is beautiful IRL.  By darkening the edges of the labels die, it gives the illusion of a "window" in the white card base.

Have a great weekend and stay cool!

FRIENDS ATC

This week the Simon Says Stamp challenge is to make a card with a tag or an ATC.  I decided to make an ATC:

A simple monochromatic design using Hero Arts Stamps.  Love the spring lilac distress ink!

Have a wonderful day!

RED WHITE AND BLUE

Two posts in one day is practically unheard of for me.  But, I wanted to enter the Simon Says Stamp challenge and the deadline is tonight at midnight.  The theme can be patriotic or sporty.

Love the single starburst from Hero Arts!  And, the three stars are from their Year Round Sentiments clear set.  I used a new (to me) punch from McGill, which is also called Starburst, for some bling.  The holographic paper gives the card a pretty sparkle.

To all of you celebrating the birthday of the United States of America, I hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July

June CCC

Since the Lily Pad blog is no longer up and running, Deborah Nolan has moved the monthly card chain challenge back to her S.O.S. blog.  Here is the card I made for the June challenge:

Sorry for the poorly taken photo!!  Deborah always has a sketch, a color combo and a theme to pick from when making a card.  Friendship is usually one of the themes and that is the one I like to use.  This flower die set from PTI is one of my favorites.  The dotted papers are from BoBunny and the sentiment black pearls are from Hero Arts.

There is still time to sign up for the July CCC.  Check out Deborah's blog for all the details.

Have a wonderful week!

Hello

It is so hard to believe that today is the first day of July!  Summer goes by way too quickly, doesn't it?  We have been having lots of heat and humidity here in northeast Ohio. Thankfully, the storms that went through Friday evening were not in our area.  I feel so bad for all those who are without power.  Hopefully it can be restored quickly!

Sharing a card that I made for a friend's birthday.  (Sentiment is inside).

I have used the Hero Arts tea flower again - it is such a pretty and versatile stamp!

Thanks for visiting.
