hope. . . .

is the cue at Casology this week.  Here is my card:

The butterfly is Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Catslife Press.  Tangelo orange ink from Memento.  I apologize for the poor photo.

Have a blessed Easter weekend!

gelli print card . . . .

for a friend's birthday.  I know she has received this card, so am sharing it today.

Here is the front of the card:

and here is the back:

I used several gelli prints that I had made to create the bird, flowers and base of the card.  It is so much fun to see what a print will look like - always a unique result no matter what paints or textures or stencils you use!  I love the back of this card as much as the front!!

Finally (after two weeks) I have my new printer installed to my laptop.  My friend took everything to his house to install it and I just got it back.  Yippee!  Now to learn exactly how to operate it.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp "anything goes" challenge for this week.

Have a great day!

hello. . . .

I've been away from my blog for a week or so - I got a new printer and there are still issues with getting it installed.  A friend is going to come over one day this week and get it up and running for me - hopefully!  Meanwhile, I can't upload photos, etc.

So, today I thought I would share a card of mine that was published in the newest issue of Take Ten.  It was featured on page 65 with two more of my cards which were designed using blue and green.  I already have these cards in my photo file, so am able to show you this:

I used Hero Arts stamps on all of these cards.  In case you are interested, Hero Arts has a publication incentive for you if you use their stamps!  Check it out at the Hero Arts website.

I hope you have a great week - maybe I will be up and running again in a few days!!

one card for. . . .

three challenges:

Casology #34, Runway Inspired #31 and Moxie Fab World's washi tape challenges.

Here is my card:

The yellow base card is much brighter IRL!  I love this cute little bunny from Magenta that I have had for many years.  The sentiment is from Penny Black.  I used a regular hole punch to punch the bunny's tail from cardstock that I colored with picked raspberry distress ink.  Added snowflake Stickles for some sparkle.

Have a wonderful day!

a card for Alex. . . .

my grandson, who lives in Parker CO, and will be 16 later this month!!  It is definitely a milestone birthday for him.  I know he is excited to be driving and hope he will be cautious and safe while doing so.  (scary thing to me!)

Since there are lots of numbers on this card, I am also entering this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show.  The patterned paper and numbers are from Tim Holtz.  Sentiments are from Hero Arts, a bit of glitter pen was added to some of the letters.  A background stamp from Impression Obsession was also used, along with a couple of others.  I had these little copper letters in my stash and thought they added just enough to the card.

Thanks for visiting.

a red, white and blue card. . . .

for my grandson who joined the Air Force in late 2012, finished boot camp early January 2013 and is now in technical training courses in Texas.  So very proud  of  him!

I used Penny Black Madison papers, an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, (love those stars!), the reverse wonky die from Spellbinders, and stamps from the Hero Arts year round sentiments and truly appreciated clear sets. I will no doubt be making lots more cards to send to him in the future, so I'm gonna' be on the lookout for red, white and blue "stuff" to use.

I will be entering this in the "anything goes" challenge at Simon Says Stamp for this week.

Have a wonderful weekend!
