good morning. . . .

to you!  I cannot believe that it has been four weeks since I last posted on my blog!!  Needless to say, life does take us in different directions at times and I have just not had the time to devote to my card making or blog.  And, with good weather now upon us, I am sure I will be out and about more than I will be staying in to make cards!

Today I have a card to enter into several challenges:

This butterfly die from Hero Arts really makes a statement, doesn't it?  I cut it from white cardstock and then stamped over it with a polka dot stamp using Ranger's distress ink in picked raspberry.  The sentiment was gold embossed and is from The Craft's Meow. I splattered a bit of the ink over the card and added gold sequins from Michael's.

Entering this in the following challenges:

Less is More - use a die cut.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - anything goes.
Seize the Birthday -anything goes.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

a card for Loly. . . .

for the April card chain challenge hosted by Deborah Nolan:

I have several new Spellbinders dies and wanted to use this set on Loly's card.  The stamps are from Hero Arts and the ink is also Hero Arts cornflower blue.  Love that color and it perfectly matches some cardstock that I purchased locally.  I stamped the flower on the card and then stamped it again on white cardstock and cut out each petal to pop them up from the base.  A sheer ribbon and some flat sparkle gems were added.

Hope your weekend is a good one!
