Flourishes is celebrating its sixth birthday and they have had several challenges for it. The final challenge is "six-for-six" - we are to use the sketch, the colors and the other four things listed in their graphic above. Here is my card:
The sweet pea stamp set from Flourishes is definitely one of my favorites. I kept this card pretty much true to the sketch. I love sweet peas and they do bring back lots of childhood memories for me. We lived on a country road called "Pea Ridge Road" and sweet peas grew profusely along the sides of the road in the summer. So delicate and pretty.
Enjoy your day!
Arlene has let me know that my card for July's CCC has arrived in her mailbox, so I will post it today:
I am really getting the mileage out of the Graphic 45 Secret Garden pad!! And, this isn't the last time you will see of it here. LOL (used it again today for another challenge that I will post tomorrow.) The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
If you haven't participated in Deborah Nolan's card chain challenge before and would like to see what it's all about, visit Deborah's blog to check it out. It is lots of fun.
TFL.
is always nice to send to someone. I made this card for two challenges: Word Art Wednesday and Magenta's July challenge.
Here is my card:
The flower stamp used for the background is one of my all time favorite Magenta stamps. The sentiment is from PSX which is no longer in business. I am still in love with sequins and use them on practically every card I make. :)
Have a great day!
is the cue for this week's challenge at Casology this week.
I love gold embossing on a card, but today I decided to use the beautiful delicate gold ink pad for my card:
The dotted border is a portion of a new Hero Arts stencil and the stamps are from Simon Says. For whatever reason my photo is a bit blurry; please forgive me!!
TFL.
on this cool and rainy Monday here in Ohio. I finally have some time to make some cards and enter some challenges. This card is for the Mojo Monday 303 challenge, the Word Art Wednesday #89 challenge and the Die Cut Divas July challenge.
Again, I am using some of the Graphic 45 Secret Garden papers for this card. The flowers are Memory Box Fancy Blossoms and the sentiment is from A Muse Art Stamps.
edit: Here is the Mojo Monday sketch:
Now I must make a card for Deborah Nolan's July card chain challenge and get it e-mailed to her. It is always fun to send a card to someone and get a card back from someone else!
Have a great day!
is not a challenge I participate in very often. I needed some inspiration for a birthday card for a friend's birthday next week, so I decided to use their sketch:
And, at the same time, I was able to use more of my patterned paper stash for this card:
The 8 x 8 Secret Garden pad has lots of pretty feminine colors and patterns. The sentiment is from Hero Arts as are the paper flowers. The beaded brad has been around for a long time, don't know what company it's from.
Hope you are having a LONG weekend of fun!
to celebrate our country's birthday:
This will be entered in the Simon Says patriotic challenge and the CASology fireworks challenge. I used alphabet and numbers dies from Memory Box for the sentiment. The starburst stamp is from Hero Arts and the starburst punch is from EK Success.
In our neck of the woods, most holiday "picnics" will be held indoors due to rain. Enjoy your day!
of the Just Cards Summer 2013 magazine is a card of mine using Hero Arts stamps. I was very surprised and very thrilled to open the white envelope containing my complimentary issue and see one of my cards staring up at me!
The one with the buttons on it is mine. I had a total of eleven cards in this issue; eight of which were cards that featured Hero Arts stamps. Hero Arts has a very generous incentive program for published cards, so I will be ordering some new goodies - yippee!
I don't normally post about my published cards but just wanted to share it this time.
Thanks for visiting and Happy 4th to my fellow US of A friends!
for the two "anything goes" challenges: Simon Says Stamp and Word Art Wednesday. SSS has almost 1000 entries thus far and will probably get another 100 or so by the deadline! It's all in the luck of the draw, you know. :)))
I love this tree die from Memory Box. I decided to place it against an embossed panel that was sanded a bit to bring out the design. The bird and a strip of washi tape to embellish the sentiment strip were all I wanted to add.
Today has been a very rainy first day of July. But, the temperature was nice and I am just happy that it is summer and we don't have to shovel all of the precipitation!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and for all of your sweet comments. Love hearing from you!
edit: I am not sure why the bottom of this card has a pink cast to it! Must be the overcast weather. So sorry!
