CFC 60

Good morning!

The theme for CAS-ual Friday's challenge this week is to use text.  The colors of my card were inspired by my friend, Lin, who posted this card on her blog.  It is so hot here (and probably where you live, too!) and these colors are very summer-y!


I used Ranger distress inks and the Hero Arts newspaper background stamp for the die cuts.  I also sprayed the butterfly with antique gold Perfect Pearls mist, which doesn't show too much in the photo, but is beautiful IRL.  By darkening the edges of the labels die, it gives the illusion of a "window" in the white card base.

Sorry that you are suffering with the heat, Joy! But this card is a real treat...love the window effect. I find Lin to be such an inspiration, too. Stay cool and keep crafting!
