glitter. . . .

is the theme for the Simon Says challenge this week.  Here is my card:

A Sakura clear star glitter pen was used to color the flowers and stems on this card.  Of course, it doesn't show up very well in the photo.  But, it is very pretty in person and I think it compares favorably to the wink of Stella.  The only big difference that I can see is that the wink of Stella has a brush tip.

For the background I used more distress inks smooshed onto my craft sheet and spritzed with water.  (Can't seem to stop making these backgrounds)!  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the glitter epoxy dots are from Kathy Davis Designs and they are so pretty IRL.  I got a bit carried away with the splatters, but still like this card a lot.

Sending this off to a friend today.

I am SURE it is much more beautiful in person, Joy! The glitter really adds that something something..., isn't it? I love the choice of colors and die cut! The sentiment you used is perfect, too! I know what you mean about making those watery Distress Inks BG...so addictive!! Hope you have a great weekend! xo

If my backgrounds came out like that I wouldn't stop making them either! This is absolutely beautiful, Joy--one of my favorites! Love the Clear Star pen, too, but I like the Wink for bigger areas like a leaf.
