one more. . . .

watercolor card for Virginia's View:

Here is my card, which I made for a friend's birthday:

I do like to color stamped images with watercolor pencils, but one of my most favorite things to do is use distress inks spritzed with water to create a background.  Ripe persimmon, festive berries and peacock feathers distress inks were used here.  The image is an oldie but goodie from Stampers Anonymous and was stamped over the background with Versafine onyx black ink.  I placed an iridescent sequin with a small black gem in the circle on the bottom left.

A Sakura stardust pen was used on the body and wings of the dragonfly and I then sprayed the whole panel with Ranger's Heirloom gold spray.  This is so much prettier in real life - it is so gloomy here today that the photo doesn't show the shimmery goodness much at all!   A Pilot metallic gold pen was used to edge the panel which was popped up on the white card base with foam tape.

There has been an amazing response to Virginia's new challenge blog and we are allowed to enter four cards - this is my third and probably final one.  The entries are all SO fabulous and I am just sending my entries over in support of Virginia, not really with "winning" in mind.

Thanks, Virginia, for all of the fun!
