use a butterfly. . . .

for the current challenge at The Card Concept.

It's difficult for me to decide which category to put this in, but I am hoping my card will fit into their clean and layered category:

I am attempting to put a small (teeny) dent in my patterned paper stash.  These paper are from a Lost and Found Two 6x6 pad.  I stamped half of the Penny Black butterfly die with a Magenta flower image and popped it up on a swirl of gold thread.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.  Black gems from Michael's.  There are three small dots of gold Stickles in the centers of the flowers but the lighting on this rainy day doesn't allow them to show.  Here's a close-up:

Have a good weekend.

Wonderful idea with stamping half of the butterfly, Joy! I did it with embossing too and it turned out great!

I love your butterfly and design. AND I totally understand trying to use up paper stash. I am trying that too but every time I go to replenish some card supplies I end up looking at more paper pads :)

Love how you stamped on the side that's backed with white, but left the other side (backed with pattern) clean and white - very clever! Thanks so much for joining us at the Card Concept!

So pretty, Joy! I love that this could be a masculine card, too, even with the beautiful embellishments!

Joy- you made me giggle:). I'm trying to do the same with my pp- but then I'll see a new 6x6 pad when I'm shopping and I swear it calls my name! Your card is beautiful! I love how you partially stamped the butterfly- it goes perfectly with the pp you chose!
