summer of color week five. . . .

Kristin has chosen these colors for this week's challenge:

Quite patriotic for those of us who live in the United States.  And, since the second challenge at Mixed Media Mojo is patriotic, I am combining the two challenges with this card:

I colored Golden light molding paste with a Mediterranean Blue Brilliance refill to pull through a star stencil from Michaels.  While it was still wet, I sprinkled some Martha Stewart glitter flakes over the paste.  It barely shows in the photo but is pretty IRL.  The chipboard letters are from Tim Holtz and were colored with barn door distress ink and then brushed with the wink of Stella glitter pen.  This definitely does not show in the photo.  :(  I added some tiny stamped stars (Rubber Moon), a larger star (Hero Arts) and washi tape before adhering the panel to a red foil cardstock and then a white card.

Have a great day!

This is gorgeous. When I first saw these colors, I also thought of using a patriotic theme. In the end, mine would NEVER have looked as lovely as your card, though. This is beautiful.
