WEEK TWO COLOR COMBO

Here is the color combo for Week 2 of the online summer card class by Jennifer and Kristina.

I am still struggling with using five colors!  It took me a long time to come up with an idea and then it took me three hours to make this card.  I am not very happy with it; but will post it anyway!

The size of this card is 8.5 x 4.25 inches.  All of the papers are from a DCWV mat stack (Citrus).  The Hero Arts Ruffled Flower was black embossed and then cut out - I cut off the outer ruffle to make the flowers smaller.  I clear embossed the Hero Arts Life of the Party dotted background on the green paper.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts Find Joy set.  Lace if from JoAnn's; punched border from Martha Stewart.
Edges of the white base card were inked with Ranger Distress ink (crushed olive).  Some green gems were added to the flower centers.

Thanks to the great gals on the Hero Arts Flikr group for explaining how to add your name to your cards!!  I will have to play with it a bit more to find a font I like better :)

We have had a gorgeous day here in Ohio - sunny, warm and just perfect!  Hope your day has been a good one. . .

P.S.  I am also entering this in the Hero Arts monthly challenge - this looks pretty summery to me.

TFL.

Joy, don't be so hard on yourself; I think your design is wonderful and you got all those color in! Love the bits of lace here and there.

What a really lovely card - I particularly like the black embossing on the flowers.
