celebrations. . . .

with a twist of butterflies, is the theme at Time Out Challenges, which is a new to me challenge blog.  Here is my card:

The stamps I used on this card are from Stamplorations.  After eyeballing the stamping of the word celebrate, I white heat embossed it.  Then I smooshed distress inks onto a clear block, spritzed with water and added the color to the background with a water brush to create the rainbow stripes.  The cupcake was created in the same way using more distress inks.  I added white liquid pearls to the icing and brushed wink of Stella over the entire cupcake.  The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.  Liquid pearls and wink of Stella were also added to it.  I adhered three butterflies together to make it stand up from the card.  Here is a close-up of it:

Today is a beautiful sunny summer day here in Canton Ohio.  I am going to go outside now, sit on my porch and read a book I started last evening.  While there I will enjoy hearing the birds singing and listening to my little fountain bubbling in the flower garden.  Gotta' savor these sweet summer days as long as possible!!
